The nose is much different from other vintages I've had of this wine. It has an almost iron-rich blood note with cardamom standing out amongst the baking spices. The palate shows off the velvet luxury of Napa well, highlighting vanillin and red fruit. Always an exceptional wine for the price. Always.

2013 alpha omega- smells of cherries, a little sharp- definitely more bright than the opus. Just the right amount of fruit but not bold enough. Cherries flavor as well. 9.0 $35

brooke and i paired it with fillet and bourbon-drenched mushrooms. nice and dry with lovely fruit, with dusty minerality. let's wait a little bit on this!!
