Pop and pour, but air only helped. On the nose: blackberry, tar, plum, smoke, cool herbal notes as well, but some vanilla and cinnamon rounding things out. On the palate: very good acidity, very dense black fruit, tar, charcoal, and excellent density, transitioning into a wall of tannin. After 12 years, this seems structured to age for a very long time. Nevertheless, fantastic right now.
