Ceras Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

2012 Antica Terre "Cerus" Pinot Noir - a unique Oregon Pinot Noir with balance, structure, terroir, great acidity and all the potential to age well over the next 8-10 years. Curious project, I'd like to taste others from their lineup and lay more of this one down. Drink now if you enjoy power, concentration and fruit - it's a sexy wine. Let it be for another 5yrs and the fun begins.

Showing bright and very youthful. Incredibly harmonious with soft red fruits, medium plus acidity and a long, lingering finish that goes for 30 seconds. Pretty wine.

Will become much better with a little time. 2012 vintage.

She obviously knows what she is doing

Red raspberry aromas and a bit of bay leaf and mint. Stewed rhubarb, olalliberries and a touch of animale. Lively acidity. Could use a bit more time to pull it all together.

Foie gras

Raspberries, cola and tanned leather. A bit angular in its youth.

Fantastic out of magnum. Young but showy. A terrific wine that is a recent discovery for me. Exciting

If you like your Pinot Noirs to be less about rich fruit and more about minerality, this is for you.

Phenomenal wine. Done in the traditional old world ways of Bordeaux, this Pinot Noir is complex and excellent.
