This is very typical of a carménère but the flavour develops slowly in your mouth allowing you to taste the layers of flavour. For that alone I think this is a great wine at under £10. It has a light colour because it's a young wine but really surprises you with the flavour profile. The aroma sets you up for assuming the tannins will be light, with dark fruits but actually thw tannins is punchy. It has a bitter start, an almost smoky taste (because it's a reserva) with a dry finish and hint of fruit.
