This is very typical of a carménère but the flavour develops slowly in your mouth allowing you to taste the layers of flavour. For that alone I think this is a great wine at under £10. It has a light colour because it's a young wine but really surprises you with the flavour profile. The aroma sets you up for assuming the tannins will be light, with dark fruits but actually thw tannins is punchy. It has a bitter start, an almost smoky taste (because it's a reserva) with a dry finish and hint of fruit. — 6 years ago

Easy drinking pinot noir. Inexpensive too, cheap and cheerful. Bitter but slightly fruity. Not acidic, little tannins. — 6 years ago

Oaky aroma with dark fruits. Full bodied and almost sweet undertones. Very nice if you like oaky wines but sometimes the finish is a little too ashy. — 7 years ago

Appearance: Bold red with hint of brown.
Nose: Dark fruits, subtle oak, alcohol, dark chocolate.
Palate: Not as fruity as thought but does have an almost sweet start when you drink it with a bitter dry end. No acidity, with light-medium body. Good tannins. — 6 years ago
