Collepiano Sagrantino di Montefalco
Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG 2008, 14.5%. An excellent sample of, probably, the best known wine from Umbria, in central Italy. Very strong tannins, typical of this wine.

Oct 25th, 20132008. A unique wine. First time trying this varietal. Earthy nose and flavors initially. Then dark fruit flavors with a licorice finish. Needed some time to breath before drinking.

Mar 7th, 2021V08. Big wine. Decant, then decant again. Green olive and soft cedar nose. Blackberry , cassis with hints of tar fruit. Dry, Tannic and astringent, lots going on , but actually pretty balanced, adventurous and a nice food wine. This one is ten years old and taste young!!
