Spiced plum and cherry, with a fungal note on the nose. Interestingly, we blended it with some Washington syrah from Yakima valley (more fruit forward) at about 10% WA and omg it went from great to amazing!

...lil bite for a Syrah... Not bad, but not memorable either. OK... But you're not running to your local wine shop to order a case anytime soon... Vero Beach with Vinny C. and Il Doctorees... Something tells me that Ray Sr. Can now do whatever he wants on the tennis courts...

2011, drinking better tonight. Fruity; mellow as a Merlot. Not a lot of varietal character. Not the equal of Saralee's Syrah of yore but quite pleasant.

Classic cool weather Syrah. Smooth, short finish (some plumminess there). Subtle oak.
