Wow! Pinot gris/blanc and aligote Vinicius like a great CA Chardonnay, coming out in the best possible way. Took some time to open up but when it did it was outstanding. Still-fresh ripe pear, a hint of minerality, some cheese rind, the oxidative butterscotch and lemon curd are hidden under layers of freshness and acidity and there’s no hazelnut then you’d get in a chardonnay. What a wine! I’d hate to get it blind but it reminds of the fine examples of aged whites from Terlan, Vorberg in particular
