Thought I would bring my favorite producers of Cali Chard & Cabernet today to my 1st lunch at a restaurant since returning from La Paulee. This was rich, fully mature at 12 yrs showing citrus, stone fruits with mineral & floral notes losing a touch of freshness & acid since my last btl. Still very impressive.

Wow. Mark’s Lauren Vineyard chard is always my favorite, but this 2008 is absolutely unreal. Incredible nose of honeysuckle, white flowers, lemon peel, and a touch of vanilla, the mouthfeel on this is unbelievable. Impeccable balance, with a finish that lasts well over a minute, this is one of the best chardonnays I’ve had in a long time. Just awesome.

Amazing acidity still. Citrus and minerals. Went well with chill corn and crab soup

This wine has never disappointed. Well integrated oak under luscious, viscous tropical butterscotch tinged fruit.

Spectacularly complex and sustained with intense lemon curd and custard dominating. One of the very best from Aubert.
