@Ted Mandes @Christine @Steve Colanero One of my go to California pinots. It's a great example of a superb California Pinot. You definitely see the Terroir & stylistic differences between this and Old World. Everything about this was on overdrive vs Elegance. Bigger fruit, bolder notes, shorter finish. Great but not awesome in comparison to Old World. We found ourselves tipping our hat to the Old World competitors all night long. Shit, this experience will be costing me a lot of money!! Lol 😂

One of my favorite California Pinot producers. So damn good. Needs time and air to develop especially this was so young.

Wow! Initially had a little gamey nose but it evolved into a beautiful bright elegant but powerful Pinot.

Aubert 2011 Pinot Noir Ritchie WOW!!

Young but a ripping explosion of black cherry soda and salami. The high Tannis on the finish doesn't allow you to really "get there" yet!

Muted on the nose and palate

Big with a darker fruit profile and low acidity. Just another big over the top Cali Pinot from a producer that usually does over the top right.

Not too shabby. I seem to prefer CA Pinot from cooler vintages.

2011. All cherry pie. No finesse. This is not great Pinot Noir.
