Rust tinge to the translucent red color. Aromas of cherry, raspberry and a smoky cedar scent. Pretty good for the price, decanted for about 2 hours, light underripe red fruit on the palate.

The poor 2014s - just a bad year. In a blind tasting, I would have guess this was much older, just not in a good way. A light garnet color with tints of rust and a full quarter inch of color separation on the rim, it looks old. It’s thin on the tongue with a tinny, bitter aftertaste and high alcohol. It does have decent fruit and hints of cedar and light tobacco. Avoid this year.
