Avignonesi
Da Di Bianco
Tuscany, Italy

A very different wine. Delectable fails to identify the principal varietal, Orpicchio, which Avignonesi recently resuscitated through historical analysis. This bottle did not contain much body in terms of fruit; a bit of orange, citrus, and rind. The acidity and tartness was anticipated. But the lack of fruit was surprising. I’m going to try this unusual wine again since, the following day after conserving the wine and using a Vinturi aerator, it tasted a touch better.
