Dec 24th, 2016Wild explosion of plum and cherry, a definite brute. Unfortunately after a few hours there isn't much left but heart burn.

Jun 20th, 20162007. Larger than expected-dark fruit, chocolate, leather, soft tannins. This is not your basic Abruzzi quaffer. Very nice.

Oct 20th, 2018Let me provide some context for this wine: a catholic, in the shadow of the Holy See, drinking an Illuminati wine. So it's an understatement to say there was some trepidation opening this bottle up. Nonetheless, a few glasses in I was feeling quite enlightened indeed. Notes of oak, dark chocolate, cherry. Superb finish. I would have given it a 10 but I am no illuminatus. You can talk about the science of wine all you want, the climate, the grapes, the altitude. But as any believer in transubstantiation will tell you, there is little that separates a great wine from the divine.
