2014 was a step up for this estate's Rosso. The nose is distinctly Sangiovese where the sangio markers count, but there's a "sweet funk" that's eerily reminiscent of the Côtes de Nuits. A1

For similar $, I'm going Chianti Classico every time over Rosso. Better value, more structure, and complexity. This is fine, ripe, med - acid, black cherry, a bit cloying at first, lightened up a bit with air.

I'm much more of a super Tuscan guy and for the same price can find solid Spanish wines and even California wines like Tom Gore's Cabernet Sauvignon for less than what I paid.
