2010 is turning out to be an epic year for Italian wines. I've been enjoying Super Tuscans like this gem over the last couple years; now it looks like Brunello's may also be amazing. I bring this up because this bottle originates from Montalcino. The initial fruit explodes on your palate; however, as bold as it is, the finish is refined and balanced. You won't confuse it with a Cali Cabernet. The old world characteristics dominate each sip. It needs at least an hour to open. Wonderful bottle. Cheers
