scored a split on closeout and it was tasty! probably just starting its gentle decline w/some musty oxidative aromas, but it also had engaging smoke & spice, worn leather, sour cherry, red currant, hint of vanilla & cocoa, sweet soil and other earth driven elements. med bodied, well worn tannins and some acidity presented a fairly balanced palate. usually priced out of Brunello so this was a treat! — 3 months ago
Ample aroma, fruity, oak. Cherry, black fruits. Expecting Powerful. Tannic. 2 hours decanting is necessary. Then, Oak, aged black fruits. concentrated. Lots of spices including nutmeg clove etc. Enjoyed Chef Special reserved in his seller for 20 years. 02 @3800, Eric T, 250523 — 4 months ago

Another great restaurant value!
PnP. Dark cherries, mint, and touch of tar. Big tannins with a velvet texture. Paired nicely with our variety of Italian cuisine.
The real highlight was after dinner when I randomly scored a Montecristo 80 Anniversario cigar in the elevator up to the room! — 3 months ago
Smooth start and fruity. Let it breathe 15-20 and it gets even better in the finish. — 4 months ago

Not too dry but has the notes you are looking for with an Italian red. We had it with steak and would definitely buy it again. — 14 days ago
