Weird. I like weird. :D Immediate impressions were raisins and... Roast ham?? The surprisingly pleasant ham note quickly turned more to coffee as the glass opened up. Will certainly seek out a bottle to share with a fellow adventurous soul. Would love to try this with some chocolate cake, or game meat. I wish I were adept enough to draw the distinctions cite in the reviews. I pick up a even earthy foundation with some chocolate presence. Easy on the palate but makes it presence known. Smooth and even from start to finish. Good on its own but would be better with hot appetizers.
