78 still shaking astounding concentration and density. Such a treat to drink.

Brandied cherry, black current, and smoke. Hedonistic. Still has years if not decades left. Lots of fat.

Wonderful tar, meat, fruit, flowers. Two minute finish. Moves into that emotional realm where my notes no longer sound like tastes. Suffice to say lots of smile and memories

Gorgeous perfumes nose of dried berries, flowers and dark cherries. Palate has a wealth of acidity and depth of dried fruit, hints of leather and anise. Lengthy pleasing and refreshing finish. Really good bottle.

Very pretty wine in great condition. The fill height looked as if it was bottled yesterday. Beautiful silky tannins drink now. Very Sofia Loren in her prime.

Graceful, elegant Cabernet. Tasted next to the '78 Montelena it had lost much more of its fruit, but still very good for the age.

Green pepper, cassis, dust, totally groovy.

Delicious for a 78. Soft and supple. Yum.
