Dark tawny with a nice nose. Notes of dark cherries, camphor, wood smoke, cedar trees. Very thin in the mouth. Fruit is drying and fading. Interesting nose today but drink up soon.

Definitely judged this too quickly. Showing + oxidation and + bricking. Still, a dark mid palate opened up with a few minutes and a perplexing menthol quality kept flashing before the tannin. Even the tannin evolved to more complex textures with a little time—dark roast coffee comes to mind. A very very nice wine.

Nose of red fruit, leather, fennel, cedar, dried flowers. Fully evolved palate adds a juiciness that adds to the nose with more cassis fruit. Lengthy pleasing finish.

What a beauty. Thanks to the depth of our cellar and the generosity of those guests who like to leave a little behind for us. I don't really have the resources to buy bottles like this, and probably wouldn't spend them like this anyway. It's an awesome perk of working here.
