Great in every way. Deep red garnet, no signs of fading on the edges. Huge rich nose of blackberry and cassis and soft oak. Decanted gently to help with sediment, the air also opened up jammy black fruit with a deep plum that gives a head fake towards prune, all balanced by light acidity keeping it lively. Powdery tannins give velvety richness and a soft dusty finish. A stellar performance from BV.
