Love this 2006 Meritage. It needs a good 30 minutes to open up, but once it does, it's great. Great fruit, wonderful balance, very cab-like, but not quite as heavy.

Dark red. Clear at the edge. Dark red fruit, dark chocolate on the nose. Echoed on the palate with a sinister brooding finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Full body. Nice and tame. Supports a Porterhouse quite nicely, thank you.
