Sigrid Chardonnay
Wow. Blind, I guessed Chablis! Yin/yang of ripe Chardonnay fruit and snappy acidity. Minerality too. Lemons.

Mar 3rd, 20182015. Still very acidic and lean. I know it will develop more of a creamy undertone with time, as the 2012 and 2014 have done. Great wine.

Oct 19th, 2019Lots of flinty, smoky reductive notes on the nose. Touch of crème and white flowers emerge as it gets some O2.
Creamy oak mixes with lemon juice initially. Almost sour cream like. Some rounder, vanilla notes and spice finish things out. Good tautness and acidity throughout.
Excellent new world Chard. Great acidity and oak integration.

Bergstrom makes such good wines. Color is light gold. You’d guess burgundy based on the nose - bigtime in the glass. Lots of minerality and crushed rock. Will age well.

Apr 18th, 2018Makes a case as the best Chardonnay coming out of American. And matches up very well against its Burgundian brethren.
