Medium deep ruby core a bit of pink still at the rim. A young appearance . On the nose it becomes obvious that this isn’t your normal Gevrey Village . Very serious , slightly reduced , but lots of dark cherry , cocoa , blackberry fruit, very attractive with a bit to time to breath. On the palate more black cherry notes , black fruits , mineral laden also , grippy tannins still. Long finish , nice balance of sweetness of fruit and acidity. Showing potential , just too young at the moment for me . Another 2-4 years I would this will be great. Easily the quality of a good 1er Cru Gevrey .

It is a 2009 vintage. Although it's a great year for burgundy, this is still a bit young... Strawberry, cherry on the nose and also a little bit smoky after about half an hour. I also got wood and wet leaf. On palate, acidity was high and was dry. It got a bit smoother after 2 hours.
