Biggio Hamina Cellars
Andreas Vineyard Gewürztraminer
Really impressed with this for $20. Floral, aromatic nose. Certainly orange in the glass. Full bodied with a touch of tannin. Earth, and a distinct bergamot note. Great on its own but would be great with grilled chicken or prawns.

Jun 16th, 2019The aroma is so sweet and fruity almost like a liqueur. Boyf smells almond paste. On the palate it’s super dry but not tart. Honestly its a bit like Belgian beer. But with a lighter finish.

Oct 12th, 2019I remember having German Gewurztraminer that reminder me of this wine’s style. The seller called it a hipster wine. Partially unfiltered, biodynamic or organic wine for beer drinkers, unexpected hoppy which gives a tannic-like finish when it is served cold (tannins in a white, I know, that’s how it tastes to me). Serve it cool and the wine opens up.
