Gudarrà Aglianico del Vulture
A really nice wine showing its age well. Rustic and layered with dust, leather, dark red fruit and smoke. Tannic but balanced with great structure. Nice value at $15.

Jul 23rd, 2016From the cellar, we had to bring out the Gudarrà Aglianico del Vulture 2008. Mature black fruits, raisin, dried fig, cooked plum. This is a great value wine, and you get a lot of what the Vulture area can offer for not a lot of money.

Feb 6th, 2016Deep red, nose of mocha, herbs; dark fruit and a hint of coffee in sleek mouthfeel, acids are high for a vibrant wine that pairs well with cheese ravioli. Aeration softens and deepens to a rich sweetness. Drinking nicely now, a lovely persistent and perfumed finish, won't get much better so drink up, pretty good value.
