Tasted blind I certainly enjoyed it but being a BIG fan of Blankiet I was still somewhat underwhelmed. Nothing screamed Napa (to me) here.

A very nice wine for our Christmas Eve pork dinner. This should have been decanted as the last sips were the best and we could have reached this point earlier in the bottle.

Dec 25th, 2020Decanted for a hour. Lilac and black cherry aromas. BlackBerry, cigar tobacco, and leather on the palate. Aging beautifully. Tannins still showing some. No rush to drink these. Highly recommend.

The 2012 is beautifully structured and drinking exceptionally well. Very elegant in style with much finesse and notes of terroir. One of my favorite Bordeaux style Cabs from Napa. Notable differences between the 2012 and more recent vintages.

Oct 10th, 20192012 was really exceptional. One can clearly distinguish this vintage over all other recent ones. Dennis Malbec's finesse really shines in this bottle.
