Bodega Colomé
Estate Valle Calchaquí Malbec
Partially sourced from apparently the highest elevation vineyard in the world... so there's that... Exotic floral and bramble aromas combine with a loamy-limestone funky minerality along with some pepper and asphalt, but finishes clean.

May 26th, 2017Fantastic & pretty unique expression of Malbec from 3 high altitude vineyards. These give the wine an amazing balance of fruit, structure, depth & freshness. Also huge concentration which makes a contemplative glass last a long time.

Dec 11th, 2016The best Malbec I've had. A wonderful Argentinian wine.

Sep 2nd, 2016Did not like this one at all.
Just seemed very heavy on an alcohol type flavor.
I did not get much of any other flavor that I could identify.

Paired with red pasta sauce (pork, zucchini, mushroom, onion, oregano, basil) smoked mozzarella and cheddar pizza. Not painfully sharp, but it cut through the rich pizza very nicely. Full bodied, not too sweet, fruity.
