Bright magenta color, the oak aging comes through on the nose with vanilla and chocolate covered coconut, backed by pretty cherry fruit, sage and wildflower aromas. The palate is new age Rioja, floral and pretty while still maintaining a peppered edge. Paired with a lamb shank and ribeye, went well with both.

Dec 2nd, 2016Big, luscious, smokey. Good tannins, and a lingering finish. Not my style per se but it's well-made, and not completely over done. Stylistically, it reminds me more of Ribera del Duero or Toro.
