Clos de los Siete Malbec Blend

Interesting blend from seven neighboring vineyards in Argentina, owned by a French wine maker. 52% Malbec, 21% Merlot, 15% Syrah, 7% Cab, 3% petit Verdot, 2% CF. A bit soft for my palate.

Earthy smoky flavor mixed with spice and currants.

Somewhat flat, and no complex tastes.

The bottle I got was muddled tastes as if someone said, “oh no, the Malbec isn’t very good. Throw in some other stuff.”

Best Malbec I've had for $20. Deep purple in the glass, looks very young. Can't remember the nose, but the palate was very bold, yet fresh. A beautiful balance of fruit and earth. Long delicious finish. This is an amazing wine for the price and seems like it could age for a while more, but is irrisistable right now.

A really great value. Powerful without being obnoxious like many Malbec. I had it with a nice plate of cheeses and it worked well

Malbec 52%, Merlot 21%, Syrah 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 7%, Petit Verdot 3%, Cabernet Franc 2%. Great blend with a dry finish.

Simple Bordeaux blend that accompanied a thick bone in chop.

Full bodied, good for dinner.

Great legs, medium body, long aftertaste, deep fruity flavor.
