Oak dominates for the first few hours. Ripe black fruit eventually emerges, with a muscular, mineral driven finish.

$18 at Total Wine. Bold fruit and brisk but not overpowering acidity.

Like most ages wines I come across, lots of hazelnuts on the nose here.

Took a hot minute for the fruit to integrate correctly with the oak - prune juice, pom pithe, salted blackberry.
the oak is long, and chewy.
Interesting Ribera, though it is getting a little aged for the quality.

Elegant and fresh with black fruit. Not a serious wine but avoids being too fruit forward.

Opaque burgundy with blue/purple hue, notes of dark fruits, anise and tobacco, quite tannic still, tastes of mushroom, black tea and licorice, medium to long finish.

Great stuff! Not every awesome Spanish red is Rioja - this holds its own with a great bouquet and easy, supple finish.

This wine is a tad bit on the bitter side even after letting it air out. Tried it because it was a non-Rioja Spanish wine

Needs to open up. Excellent. Total wine. With steak teriyaki.
