Bierzo Mencia

This is a very good expression of #mencia from #bierzo at a reasonable price. In fact it’s a steal.

Lovely with pizza. Even better 24 hours later on its own.

Color of purple with some grey hue on the rim. Nose of cocoa, dark fruits, ample acidity, spicy sensation, and strawberry vanilla. Taste follows the nose with addition of mellow tannins, ripe grapes, and graphite note. Aftertaste shows some more peppery note. Clean, smooth, and easy to enjoy.

Should be in Spain, but Spanish wine helps.
