Deep ruby leaning to garnet appearance. On the nose there was black plum, smoke, cedar, dried fruit, and leather. On the palate, there was a medium acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, and medium body. The wine was balanced, with a good length, complex, and identifiable characteristics. Overall a very good, almost outstanding wine.

Very Rioja’esque aromas with (over)ripe black cherry, a hint of blueberry, vanilla toast & coconut, a whiff of leather, roast, cocoa powder. Rich but not overwhelmingly so. And retaining some freshness.
On the palate this is surprisingly firm with prominent, though finely polished tannins, and nice density of fruit. Nicely balanced & highly drinkable but I’m sure it would benefit from another few years of aging.
