Appearance was deep ruby, almost garnet. Medium intensity of cherry, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and plum aromas. On the palate a very intense flavor that matches the nose with hints of nutmeg, cocoa, leather, cedar, clove, toasted oak. Alcohol is medium+, tannin is medium, body is medium. Finish is medium + Tannin gives a very bitter intense flavor that lingers into a very smooth finish. Overall, a very intense wine that requires a little time to open up. Wine is a deep ruby. On the nose there is medium intensity of blackberry, cherry, and a slight smell of vinegar. On the palate, the flavor matches the nose, but in a more intense manor. The acidity is high, the wine is dry. Alcohol is low. The finish is medium, the tannin is low with a nice structure. Overall the wine is balanced, lacking in complexity. Medium ruby, leaning towards garnet for appearnace. On the nose, there is a very pronounced aromas of red fruits, smoke, oak, tobacco, caramel. The body is medium, the palate had a medium tannin with a long finish. Acidity is high, tannins are high. At first you senses are overwhelmed with tastes of pepper, clove, tobacco, toasted oak. Then the finish smoothes out and becomes a very tame cherry, black berry, blue berry and mushroom and forest floor. The wine is very balanced and shows beautiful bottle age in the tasting. A medium+ ruby in appearance. On the nose, a medium intensity of baking spices like white pepper, and cloves, raspberry and cherry. A little musky. On the palate, there was an intense flavor of fruit punch flavor matching the nose. The body was medium+, the alcohol medium, acidity low. The wine was dry, but had residual sugars. Tannin was medium, with a very sticky structure. Length was medium. The wine was balanced, not very complex. Overall a very good wine. — 2 years ago
