On the nose, ripe blueberry, very late season black currant, cocoa, loamy/mineral soil, just a touch of oak and alcohol.
On the palate, no tannins for sure, graceful plum with light acidity and dark chocolate.
Way better than the last bottle, bottle variation working in our favorite tonight perchance?
My guess is this bottle is closer to peak, we have some left and will experiment on a few year delay on the remainders.

Oct 27th, 2017Nose has smoked plum, dried cherry, red velvet cake, soaked raisins, dried raspberry, pencil shavings, old dark chocolate and dried strawberry.
Palate has rehydrated strawberry, poached strawberry, dried cherry, mashed black cherry, dried blackberry, (minor) dried citrus peel, (minor) cedar shavings, moist leather, medium+ tannins, slightly chewy still, long finish, great bottle. Can hold until 2025-2030 easily, in proper storage.
70% Tempranillo / 20% Grenache / 10% Mazuelo+Graciano; Decanted 4 hours.
Last bottle of a 6-pack bought in September 2005.
