Toasty, lush, virile and opulent. Manages to retain some acidity despite the hot vintage, but overall I found this far too young to enjoy thoroughly. The oak is rather dominant.

This really showcases how good a Toro can be. Restrained deep nose of plum, cassis, cedar, mocha, soybean, worn leather, and subtle smoked meat. The palate is rich and velvety, layered with lush ripe fruits, dark chocolate, and warm spices, all strung together by round yet vivid acidity. Silky tannins.
I think this will need another 5 years to reach its peak. Paid about €30 some years ago in Madrid.

Color rojo intenso casi púrpura. Con un cuerpo consistente y un olor medio alto intenso. Definitivamente un acompañante para platós complejos. Tanicidad suave y persistente
