Candied blackberries and cherries on the nose with spices and licorice; fragrant and juicy candied black fruits with spices, a bit of smoke and earth on the palate. Nice rounded tannins and mouthfeel. Juicy but not viscous.

Deep and round. Longest of wines. It's perfect and mature at this stage of its life. Aromas like tacos or a perfect chuck. Perfect steak wine. Curiously still tannic. Delicious.

A delicious '89 for my friend on her 25th! Fragrant nose of dark cherries, licorice and floral notes. A full bodied, amazingly textured and elegant wine with impeccable concentration. Spice, burnt oak, black currant, cedar and earth. Such a fresh, vivacious 20 something.
