Spicy, peppery, smooth bodied, but overpriced and overrated.

I had the 2012 in a double magnum large format bottle. The nose is stewed dark fruit. In the mouth you get candied cherry, strawberry, tart cherry, clove and rhubarb. The finish has moderate acid and tannins. This is a solid red table wine that I think would match well with a pork chop or hamburger.

Best decanted but bold, fruity and smooth on the tongue. Not too tart and great aftertaste. 2012 vintage, could have waited a little longer but still great depth.

2012. Blackberry and leather bouquet. Nice tannin backbone. Interested to see how it ages.

2012. Great for Friday night pizza. Dark cherry fruit, nicely balanced.
