My first time to taste vintaged Chateau Neuf Du Pape. It should be peak. Garnet block color . Aroma includes matured fruits flavor with sweetness but also with spiciness. Still enough acidity and tanning. Red Fruits liquor like. It has a feeling like jam, desert wine. It is getting showing the differences from other grapes vintage wines. 2004 @1650, wine plus -, 220219-220227

Great example of a nicely aged CdP, purchased at the winery in May 2019 as part of an AMAZING celebration of a dear friend’s 50th birthday!

Started slowly from a magnum. Almost disjointed with a acidic fizz when first tasted. But it settled down and really came together with a few hours of decanting. Balanced and flavorful with a mature profile of CDPs. It was one of many good wines last night and I was relieved that it came together and showed very well.

En Magnum. Gorgeous nose, but seemed just a little off on the finish. Maybe still too young.
