Very easy drinking, nice fruit and soft tannins. Very enjoyable. — 2 months ago
Really solid red, complex and approachable, full bodied. Rex liked it less. — 3 months ago
Deep ruby opaque, full body, blackberries and blueberries, herbs, jammy and mature — 8 days ago
I’m in the 91+ range here. Had hoped for a more wow experience but this was simply solid and that’s ok. Not all wines need to be stunners.
80 Grenache/ 15 Mourvèdre/ 5 Syrah. Followed from bottle over the course of two hours.
To this wine’s credit, it presented exactly as it should. Warm 2015 vintage type profile which extracts the Grenache (ripe red fruits, sweet spice, little heat) but also accentuates/deepens the garrigue/potpurri profile. Alcohol pokes out a touch on the palate but it’s mostly juicy red berry fruit, little bit of dirty fig, herbal. On the whole, this is a very clean style of CdP that presents with no Brett/funk but also speaks to Grenache (as opposed to being a typical super CdP blend). Drink or hold another 3-5yrs for this window. — 2 months ago
The few bottles of CdP Blanc I tasted were all quite good. This is refined and well-crafted as well.
Nose of green apple, lime, peach, hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, it delivers a seamless balance of creaminess and freshness, with limestone mineral and saline thread weaving through. Good length with subtle green notes on the finish. — 3 months ago
It’s a very balanced, rich and pleasant wine. No suprises, but perfect delivery. — 2 months ago
Perhaps it was a mistake to drink this after a glass of the KS Barolo but seemed a bit overweight and lacking in acidity without the layers of complexity I expect in a #chateauneufdepape. It may have come down to insufficient time to aerate. — 3 months ago
"Odedi"
Ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Nice nose of fresh red fruits.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light oak, chocolates, licorice, coffee, spices, tobacco leaf, light earth and herbs.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Elegant and nicely balanced.
The 2022 vintage was excellent, and it shows. Already drinking beautifully. Very approachable, complex and rich.
The high alcohol is already well integrated. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.
Still young, and needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Very tasty by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 98% Grenache with a touch of Cinsault and Clairette. Grapes from 70 year old vines were aged in large French oak barrels for 15 months. A small production of less than 8,000 bottles.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
