Another magnum. 2009 Burg is in good shape. It never really has gone through a shut down phase. Just a generous vintage.

Just a lovely burgundy. At 15+ years this has evened out. Not overly distinctive in any one register, and actually the tannins are definitely still present. But light on its feet with good depth and acid.

Sep 14th, 2025Better with a couple more years of age - last had in 2020. Oak has fully receded in a good way. Nice red fruit. Definitely quite restrained - the character is a bit hidden - but still holds together very well especially for a vintage I wasn’t expecting to like.

Nov 27th, 2022A nice red burgundy overall but leaves a bit to be desired. Just doesn’t have the complexity I was hoping for - a bit overly smooth and one note. At 2 hours after decant the oak is a bit too heavy. At 4 hours it still doesn’t quite come together.
