Boutari
Kretikos Kotsifali Mandilaria Blend
Savory nose with green olives and leather, a little compost, and old suitcase; sour cherry; bright and long acid, soft tannins, and pleasant astringency. Unsuspectingly delicious. Exactly what I want out of a weekday red.

On the Nose, blackberries, plums, cherries, strawberries, smoke, metals, forest floor, earth, black pepper and cloves.
Light to medium Bodied with high acidity.
Sour on the palate with Plums, cherries, strawberries, cranberries, earth, leather, cloves, licorice and black pepper.
Medium finish with no tannins and tart cherries.
A Unique red wine. Very much like a Pinot Noir from a cold region.
Easy drinking and a nice food wine. I paired it with a lamb dish at a Greek restaurant, but it was too light for it.
A blend of 60% Kotsifali and 40% Mandilaria grapes.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
