Bruno Colin
Morgeot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Bruno Colin’s 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot is a perplexing, paradoxical expression of Chardonnay. Lime meets apple, high acid meets dense viscosity (or is it surface tension...?), and savory, mouthwatering rock meets a nutty, butterscotch spice. Bewildering. I could probably be sold on how good this wine is, only later to be convinced that I hate it, before ultimately coming back around and loving it. Bizarre.
