A touch of medicinal herbs, cherries and some smokey elements come together in this tasty, drink-me-now Barolo. A touch faded, brick color, and a dried fruit quality points towards a shortish life ahead. No matter. This is one for now!

Sep 17th, 2019A wonderful Barolo from Bruno Giacosa. Light to medium crimson with a tawny rim. Savoury with balsamic notes. The high tannin high acid of young Barolo has softened at 7 years and this Wine has integrated beautifully. Nothing wrong with the Wines of Sicily and Puglia but this is a nice return to the King of Italian Wine. Excellent match with Carbonara and cured Pork cheek at Roscioli in Rome.

Oct 27th, 2017Obviously too young to truly rate/judge, but shows good structure, tannins and acid, just tight fruit and tannins. Will try another in 5 years
