Tawny amber color, translucent. Notes of roses and cherries at first, then it quiets down for a few hours. Later it becomes high-pitched and some other notes including wood and anise come on. Feminine in delivery, soft but with some power lurking. Still has decent acidity, w/ tannins somewhat resolved. Very nice and in a good window.

Riper style due to a hot year but really started to settle after an hour in the decanter. Dried cherry, sweet on the attack with tobacco, rose petal and tar.
