We started the evening off with a gorgeous Chardonnay and then took our palates for a stroll through Bordeaux with this Napa beast. It was literally perfect. 30 minutes to open and once it did there was a pure concentration of fruit, graphite, oak and a surreal opulent Nose. This is drinking as good as if not better then a lot of 1st growth Bordeaux's that I've enjoyed through the years. Simply amazing!!!! Too bad I only had 1 in my cellar!!!!

This is absolutely spectacular. Pritchard Hill is one of my favorite sites for Cab and Bryant is a killer. This '97 is a baby, muscular, heavy duty wine with a killer structure. Everything is here, at the right place. True to its terroir, you feel a seriousness and authority in this wine melted by a beautiful, joyful mature fruit and dark spices. Toasted cinnamon, reglisse and cassonade melted in the fruit. Tannins are perfectly well integrated and the finish goes on and on. What a privilege to drink this wine! #californiacab #california #pritchardhill

Dark and saucy. Chocolate? Nothing wrong with this. Very intense and a bit syrupy for me.

Intense high alcohol very robust it does smooth out. Dark fruit. Blackberry. Hot finish. Power house. Would prefer something subtle
