Burly
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Was shocked how good this was being an 11 but damn it delivered - 2011 napa cabs have evolved!

Aug 16th, 2020One awesome cab - decanted 2 hours - I really like the way this wine integrates the tannins and fruit into a smooth balanced glass of excellence - dark rich fruit with amazing aromatic results - the finish just lingers - tonight we start early but will continue with a long beautiful evening enjoying the weather family and wine - love to smile and smiling has begun - have a great Saturday night to all!!!

Sep 24th, 2016Ok. I'm ready for my Friday's Cabernet fix, already! And here it is, a beautiful Napa Cabernet.
Dark inky in color with a dark purple rim.
Gorgeous nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, tree sap, spices, vanilla, light bell pepper, oak and black pepper.
Full bodied, elegant and smooth, with medium acidity and long running legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate, with blackberries, black currants, cherries, figs, cloves, herbs, earth, pencil lead, cola, vanilla, oak, spices and peppercorn.
Long, caressing finish with extremely soft tannins and cherries.
An awesome Single Vinyard, Napa Cabernet. Well balanced and not too oaky. Very enjoyable all by itself. I would prefer more tannins, though, but it has a great mouthfeel.
A Very small production of 1700 cases, and at $72, it's not cheap.
I wish it had some more tannins to carry it a few more years in the bottle, to smooth out the kinks.
Otherwise, In one word: delicious.
WS 90 points.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
