About as good as Aussie pinot gets. Aromatically explosive - dark spicy fruit, mushroomy funk, and a menthol/tobacco note . The palate is full bodied and silky without being heavy. The quality of the rich dark fruit needs the acid and honed tannins of a young vintage. This would make old bones given the balance, but I prefer the young precocious colt. This is serious and nothing like the Giant Steps pinots of previous notes. 94++
