Crystal clear, straw yellow color, beautiful legs, light/medium body, this is a great example of properly aligned, oaked Chardonnay. I try to watch movies or deep, well written and well acted shows while I drink, and tonight it was the end of Paris, Texas, and Capote. I don’t know if drinking the refined nectars of the Californian desert influenced my choices, but damnit if this wine didn’t enhance the experience. Smells like amber, rich floral notes and caramelized sugar. It’s rich, deep, unrestrained, enthralling. The mouth feel is creamy, with a pervasive sweetness, and a slightly nutty and pronounced baked palate, like Cinnamon cream pie and custard.
