Cade
Reserve Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
I'm rating this a 9.5 because I'd like to dream there is something that gaps the last 0.5 to perfection. But honestly unsure if it exists.

Nov 23rd, 2017Huge. Nearly 16% but fairly well integrated. Opulent and in your face. Not appreciably better than the 2013 Howell Mtn and worth 2x the price. Still great.

Sep 27th, 2016This is an amazing wine!! Berry caramel smell, perhaps cherry. Very smooth, full flavor. Leather, tobacco, mocha. Oak, dry, but less biting than
the Cade Estate, and slightly less pepper and tannins / acid. Smoother than the estate. One of the best cabs we've ever tasted.

Strong berry nose, subtle creme de cassis, strong dried blueberry flavor with well disguised alcohol ( present but not strong ) incredibly smooth with very gentle tannin. Sweet, bitter, tannin very complex and well layered. Bitter and beautiful, more creamy the more you taste. 98pts Robert Parker A blockbuster superstar, this inky/purple-hued 2012 is filled w creme de cassis, blueberry and mulberry fruit that hides any notion of its oak aging. Opulent, voluptuously textured, multilayered and stunningly rich with a finish that lasts 45+ seconds, this magnificent Cabernet should age effortlessly for two decades or more. But who can wait that long. $179.99 bottle
