California Square
Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
A nice Cabernet Sauvignon from California.
Simple and fruit forward with black fruits, earth, chocolates, tobacco and spices.
Medium bodied with a light mouthfeel.
Spicy finish with fine tannins and tangy raspberries.
A nice looking bottle, the wine not so much 😍 Good enough for happy hour, but nothing special.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
85 points.
$17.

Clear, dark ruby. Classic Cab Sauv nose of cassis and clove, echoed on the smooth, silky palate fortunately — and perhaps surprisingly — without the bell pepper usually found in such Cabs. Medium minus acidity and near zero tannins make this the definition of “easy drinking” at this price point. Not a “dinner table” wine (and definitely not one for long-term holding) but a “cookout Cab” and it should shine in that capacity. #wfl #WineReviews

Jun 18th, 2018Nose of alcohol and earthiness. Taste out of the bottle was lots of fruit forward but opened up to lots of leather and pepper. Mainly a powerful earthy and oak wine.
